Responsibilities
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Provide a high level of customer service
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Load and unload goods to and from vehicles
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills
Proven work experience as a truck driver a plus
Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Ability to repeatedly lift 50-100 lbs.
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
No recent moving or driving violations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
Valid truck driving license
Bonus Structure
Up to $5,000 for Class A driver’s
Up to $3,000 for Class B driver’s
Up to $3,000 for Class C if a Class B license is obtained within 6 months
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 – $24.00 per hour
